Zhulyany Airport is located in Kyiv, in 8 km from the City Center. This is the secondary airport of the city after Boryspil International Airport. The advantage of Zhulyany is in location – it’s situated within the city’s convenient traffic intersection. So getting to Zhulyany is very easy.

Ukrainian Hryvnia (sign: ₴, code: UAH), sometimes mentioned as Hryvnya or Grivna is the Ukrainian National currency since September 1996. It had been also the currency of medieval Kievan Rus state. Today Hryvnia equals 0,13 USD, 0.09 EUR and 0.08 GBP.

Boryspil – the gateway to Ukraine

Boryspil International Airport is the main air gate of Ukraine. The largest Ukrainian airport serving more than 60% of the country’s international air traffic. Located near suburban town Boryspil in 20 km from Kyiv, it’s one of three airports serving the Capital of Ukraine. The others are Zhulyany Airport and Gostomel Cargo Airport.

How to travel Ukrainian Railways

All passenger railways in Ukraine are under control of the state-owned railway company Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways). It is the 6th biggest rail passenger transporter in the world. Traveling Ukrzaliznytsia is something different from the railways of Western Europe. There are different types of cars, tickets and personnel. Traveling via Ukrainian Railways is not so scary as it seems to the European traveler from the first sight.
