The cover of the missile launch shaft weights 120 tons, but it could be opened in 6-8 seconds. The weapons were directed to the West and soldiers on duty were waiting for a call to push the button. Today the use of the unified command center and the launcher is impossible. The mechanisms are dismantled and the “weapon” part is filled with concrete. This is the remaining example of the mighty USSR nuclear forces, which made USA and NATO tremble in fear.

Secret Soviet city hidden behind the rocks and washed by the sea. It has an outstanding history. Built by British intruders during the Crimean war, it was later closed and used as a military town with the top secrecy level. The mountains around the city are useful for coastal fortification and the deep and small bay is a great place for submarines. Nuclear weapons of USSR have been stored here.
