Zhulyany International Airport
Zhulyany Airport is located in Kyiv, in 8 km from the City Center. This is the secondary airport of the city after Boryspil International Airport. The advantage of Zhulyany is in location – it’s situated within the city’s convenient traffic intersection. So getting to Zhulyany is very easy.
Since March 2011 Zhulyany Airport is serving not only different Ukrainian internal airlines, but also Wizz Air. This low-cost airline operates on routes from Zhulyany to Oslo, Stockholm, London, Dortmund, Cologne, Hamburg Lubeck, Memmingen, Venice, Katovice and Antalya.
The airport consists of an old two-storey building, and a four-storey tower. The airport is quite small and empty, the waiting room is very simple, there is no buffet. You can find ATM and currency exchange inside the Airport, a small shop and a café nearby.
The address of Zhulyany Airport is 77, Povitroflotskiy prospekt, Kyiv. You can easily get there by public transport: trolley-bus or marshrutka #9 and #22. #9 goes from Zhulyany to the Kyiv Central Station (there you can get your bus to Boryspil Airport). And #22 goes to Syrets district, passing Shuliavska and Dorogozhychi Metro stations. If you walk out of the Airport to Povitroflotskyi Prospect, you can take many other lines of Kyiv City transport.
If you have nothing to do while waiting for your flight in Zhulyany, you may visit Kyiv Aviation Museum which is located right behind the airport, in 2,5 km from the airport entrance. At the Museum there are many interesting examples of civil and military aircraft.
